Towards Closer And Mutually Beneficial Economic Ties Between Taiwan and the U.S.

Minister without Portfolio John Deng was invited to make some remarks at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank based in Washington, D.C. The subject of the remarks was Moving Towards Closer and Mutually Beneficial Economic Ties between Taiwan and the U.S., presenting Taiwan’s recent economic performance as well as the latest results of the New Southbound Policy, in support of Taiwan as the best candidate for the U.S to sign a Bilateral Trade Agreement.
CSIS also invited the Fair Friend Group (machine tools and industry equipment), Advantech (industrial computers), and Bionet (biotechnology) as panelists to illustrate the close ties and mutually beneficial relationship between our two countries. The audience responded enthusiastically to the event, which was quite well received.
